Aberdeen Student Show are a new society at the University of Aberdeen, however, the Student Show itself is a long-standing tradition in the North East of Scotland with our first show taking place in 1921! 2022 marks our 101st year of Student Show and we're still going strong.
Over the years, Student Show has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local charities. Our most recent production, 'Dirty Danestone' raised over £104,000 for 48 local charities.
Each show is created and performed by students from North East Scotland College, Robert Gordon’s University and The University of Aberdeen with the help of a talented production team. The show parodies well-known titles from the world of film, theatre and literature and is written mostly in the tradition Aberdeen dialect - Doric! There is strong focus on musical comedy and this proves popular with our large, often sold-out audiences!
